Our Group of Parishes

We are a group of five Anglican parishes serving six rural villages in central Lincolnshire.

Each church has its own character and activities, but we work and share together as much as we can, in worship and social events throughout the year.

Our group of parishes is also part of Horncastle Deanery, which stretches from Wragby down to Mareham Le Fen. We are part of the Diocese of Lincoln within the Church of England.

The Group consists of a larger church in Woodhall Spa, plus three in villages to the north: Stixwould (population of 150), Bucknall (300) and Horsington (220) - largely agricultural communities, plus two further churches in Langton and Kirkstead, which has an ancient Abbey Chapel which attracts worshippers mainly in the Summer months.

The group is relatively compact with no village more than 15 minutes drive from Woodhall Spa.
