Book of Remembrance
The Book of Remembrance stands in a display case at the back of St. Peter's Church in Woodhall Spa.
On each page, one for each day of the year, the names of those who have died on this day can be recorded.
The book is opened on the appropriate page each day.
We usually remember names from the book during the prayers at the service on the Sunday before the anniversary. You are also warmly invited to come into church on the day of the anniversary, to see the book and perhaps to light a candle, as you remember the one you love before God.
This opportunity is open to anyone from our parishes. It is particularly appropriate to record the name of someone who would be known to others locally, so that other people who knew them are also able to remember them before God and give thanks for their life.
